I’ve been at site for two whole months! Hot damn!
January was a hard month, but things are looking up: I have a written out plan for all of my lessons next week that I completed WITH all three of my counterparts. That’s a huge step for me, because one of my biggest frustrations has been…well, the lack of lesson planning.
Found out today that one of my counterparts is four months pregnant…news I’ve been waiting to hear since I found out that she’s been married for two years without kids. Hoping that doesn’t mean I’ll lose her to motherhood (Azeri moms often take 2 or more years off of work when they have babies), but I’m happy for her!
So…I now have my own classroom at school–SCORE! I’m in the process of making it look super legit (mostly to prove to my director the merits of giving it to me), and because colorful things make me smile, unlike blank walls.
